What's the best method to ward off little interest in my day-day activities and low motivation?

It's getting harder to do basic human stuff like this. What's everyone's way of dealing with it or how do I find the best way for myself to deal with it? I'm genuinely so confused-

I think journaling helps put things in perspective when there's too much that's making us feel overwhelmed. It makes us analyse the root cause of the various emotions we've been feeling and thereby helps us to cope with it.

I just take it one task at a time. Also having set routines helps. Even in my darkest times, I still have to brush my teeth before I lay down. I don't know why the routine and habit sticks, but it does. For other things that aren't so habitual I just try to take them a moment at a time. Like setting a goal to pick up the laundry. I don't have to do the laundry. Just pick it up. Very small tasks here. And then maybe sometime after picking it up, I'll get it into the washer and turn that on. Simple food and recipes help for eating. Protein bars and shakes take no time to get. Small task, just have to snack on a bar. Then another task of tossing the trash. Hope this helps!

@amusingSail3031 Such a great piece of advice, setting a routine, really you'd be setting certain things and expectations on what you have to do each night, each morning, every day, it can sort of gets inserted/ingrained into your memory bank after a while and it starts to just happened it seems.
To get to that point, it can be helpful to write out everything you'd like to do. And then maybe go a step further and sort of prioritize them or maybe look at them and pick out 3 that, if you were only able to get 3 things done, which 3 things does it need to be for the day? For some reason, there can be magic when you write something down it seems, sort of like locking it, maybe?smiley
