Why am I okay some days?
Why am I pretty decent some days, and others awful. Is this just how depression is? Is there not anyway to level out? I don't mean I wanna be OMG SUPER HAPPY every day, I'm okay with days where I just sorta go through everything I need to and whatnot. The roller coaster is just hard.
Okay, well hopefully I posted this in the right place since it said I could ask questions here :x If not, I'm sorry.
It can be just how depression is, apparently. I am not an expert, but I recently came across a diagnosis called persistent depressive disorder (dysthymia):
Depressed mood for most of the day, for more days than not, as indicated by either subjective account or observation by others, for at least 2 years.
Note: In children and adolescents, mood can be irritable and duration must be at least 1 year.
But if you are super happy some days, that could be hypomania indicating bipolar disorder. And OMG SUPER HAPPY to the extent that you do crazy things would be full-on mania. Of course it takes a professional, really, to work out what is going on and recommend treatment. (All of these conditions are treatable.)

yeap that's depression for you :(
Is indeed like a rollercoster. Has ups and downs. With help and with alot of work you can keep it stable. But sometimes there will be downs and other times there will be many ups.
But if you work on it is manageable.
I'm sorry you're feeling that way though. I hope things get better for you!
p.s- love your profile pic. Not sure who it is but is pretty
I understand that. Sometimes i feel that on my good days I'm really really good. But then it feels like a false sense of security because when that happens it always feels terrible to drop back down to such a low mood. Then sometimes I feel maybe it's better not to have good days because it's always feels worse when my mood plummets.
I suppose that's just how life is, ups and downs. Even for people who don't have depression. I think maybe the depression make the bad days seem worse, and because the bad days seem so much worse, the good days we have seem a lot better because we compare them to those bad days. So the difference in mood is maybe more noticable, but it's definitely not something abnormal. :)
