anyone else
any of you feel like there is no use to tell people how you feel because they wouldnt care anyway and that you dont want to interfere with their life because you know you will screw it up and make them depressed as well even tho you want people to feel your pain?????
@imsorryitry
Is a matter of choosing the right people. Choose someone you feel that you're confortable with and talk in an honest way.
Now the "making them depressed part", I think as long as you work in your self esteem and well being in your depression, I see no reason why you would make them depressed. If they're people who care about you of course they'll want to help.
The only thing here that I might see pushing people away is if you hide under layers and layers of conscious negativity.
I feel the same way :(
@imsorryitry I've had this for a long time and I've started to close off from telling people what's wrong.
That isn't the way to go, though.
If opening up will help you, then by all means do so.
If the people you're telling don't want to support you at all, seek help from elsewhere - almost like trial and error.
There's someone out there who is going to listen to every word of it and will stick with you, just don't give up finding them.
Stay safe x
Thanks for the advice.
i feel that way. the sad part is it is fairly true i have tried talking to people and no one really seems to care or understand they always give the VERY genaric replies of, "its ok, i understand, you need to just move on" or they turn it around and i end up comforting them and i have grown so tired of hearing them or comforting someone else for MY depression that i stopped trying. everyone wants me to help them but they dont want to help me and that just makes it worse i'm not even sure what to do anymore.
@Tiredandalone88
I'm really sorry you had to go through this <3 I know it can be challening to open up to people, especially when they don't react the way you want them to. Is there anyone that you feel comfortable talking to and that understands you?
@butterflyPessimist I already tried talking to the ones I thought could help and it made it worse ado no not any more
I guess at some point, you realize that whoever takes care of you is just a person, and that they have no superpowers and can't actually protect you from getting hurt. ― John Green, Turtles All the Way Down
