depression and school
school has been tough for me. i don't want to go there. i don't know exactly why, but i have a really huge ball of fear about school and i just...i have a bad feeling about going there. i feel like curling myself up on my bed and that's all. this happens very often. being in school makes me incredibly sad, but i do not understand why either. i understand that education is important, but i can't learn anything at this state.
for me, school is pointless, because they mostly teach you things that you won't use in the future. i mean, i live in indonesia, where the lessons are different from other countries, and sometimes, somehow, i envy students aboard for being able to have important lessons in their schools. it pisses me off that i can't study the things i like. i would beg my mum to make me quit school and attend a homeschool instead.

Thank you for reaching out here in the forums.
I am so sorry you are facing this challenge with school, and I am proud of you for reaching out for the support about your feelings about this. Sounds like you are really struggling with this, and my heart really goes out to you.
I wonder, would you have interest in connecting with one or more listeners here for private 1 on 1 chats? Also, there are self help guides here at 7 cups that you can explore if you would like.
What do you think of these ideas?

School is a breeding ground for depression. Stress to get work done and anxiety pile up and you start to spiral. It can lead to lack of motivation, self-harm, etc... On seven cups you can always talk someone, you can always get help.
Update: I skipped school for two days. My fear has never got so big. My heart paced so fast, I threw up and I had a headache. It seems that the stress has affected my physical health, too. I went to a therapist and a doctor after all. I don't know if I'll be fine. I'm still extremely afraid of going to school.
