I’m 22, but sometimes it feels like I’ve already lost everything.

Je me sens perdu.

Je veux me libérer. Me reconstruire. Respirer.

@Joannie99 I'm really sorry to hear that 😥 Please know that you're not alone in this, and you truly matter. This is a safe space for you 🤍 and you don't deserve to be treated that way.

I hope you find the support here 🍀 and things start to feel a little lighter 🤍 Sending lots of love to you! ❤️❤️

here's a translation of your post for others to read.

" Hi everyone,

I'm finally starting to gather the courage to write this, because keeping it all inside is becoming too much to bear.

I lost my older brother while I was in college. He was more than a brother: he was my refuge in a home where peace and love were lacking. After his passing, I had to continue alone, without any support, especially from my father, a manipulative, emotionally absent man who never helped me financially. From my first year of college until the end, I had to manage everything alone. My brother helped me while he was alive... but after his passing, I almost gave up. And yet, I persevered. Because I have always been a woman full of life and ambition. A woman who believed that, despite everything, she could do it.

But now, at 22, I feel tired. As if my plans have collapsed before they even began. I feel like I'm behind on everything. As if I've lost time, momentum. And even though I know I still have my whole life ahead of me, I feel stuck.

Earlier this year, during the holidays, I just wanted to take a break, to go out and spend New Year's Eve with a friend. When I got back, my dad had locked the gate. He left me outside until 3 or 4 a.m. I was so upset. When I finally got home, we had a fight. I screamed, I couldn't hold it in anymore. That's when he looked me straight in the eyes and told me there was no more father-daughter relationship between us. I admit it hurt... but then I thought: how do you grieve for someone who was never really there? Someone who was always emotionally distant, someone who never supported you when you needed it most?

And recently, my own mother, despite all the love I still have for her, accused me of wanting her dead. Those words devastated me. I got sick after that. I feel lost. I sleep badly, my mind is restless, my body is constantly tired and heavy.

I dream of leaving. Of fleeing this environment that suffocates me. Of getting away from a place where I am never understood, never protected. I want to free myself. Rebuild myself. Breathe.

Thank you for reading. Sometimes, writing is already a way to survive. "

Yes, the post was originally in English, but it was automatically translated into French before I published it. I truly appreciate you taking the time to translate it back.
