September 2021 Events - Care Bears Share Your Care Day

hello hello everyone!

i thought this day would be an incredible theme for this months event - especially with national suicide prevention day being tomorrow and the entire month of september being suicide prevention month, this national day is a great opportunity for everyone to spread some care, love, friendship, acceptance, fun, and happiness all over the world!

so, happy care bears share your care day!

some of you may be familiar with care bears already, and they're a really great group for people of all ages. they teach some really important lessons, and each bear has a different theme that goes with their name! this day has the care bears encouraging everyone to share their care, and be extra kind today - so let's do that!

did you know that kindness can actually help ease depression and anxiety?

all acts of kindness - both big and small - are known to be one of the easiest ways to help both yourself and people around you! there's a lot of research demonstrating that being kind to others can help protect against and ease depression, stress, and anxiety, and also aid us in recovery! kindness all around can improve our relationships, and generally makes us and the people around us healthier and happier.

now that we've learned how kindness can benefit us, let's think of some ways we can be kind towards others! here is a list of some examples of random acts of kindness that can help you:

• volunteer (7 cups is a great website to volunteer on!)
• donate anything you can (clothes, food, a skill, etc)
• make a hand-made gift for someone
• hold the door for a stranger
• compliment someone
• reach out to someone you haven't spoken to in a while
• smile
• give someone a hug
• write letters of encouragement
• plant a tree or flower

...and the list goes on forever!
