I feel like my life is over already

Im 17f, my mom died around jan 2025 and ever since then my life has fallen apart and just keeps getting worse and worse. Pretty sure I have periodontal disease from neglecting taking care of myself, and if I find out if I have it its just gonna make we wanna give up even more. Im so sad. I cry everyday I feel like a *** loser thats not going to accomplish anything in life. I have panic attacks & i think i have bpd or smth. I have nothing going for me, my gpa is terrible and i have no idea on what I want to do in the future. I wanna be happy and normal so bad but I just dont think im able too.

i hate myself so bad i dont know what to do i feel like im going insane. I dont think anyone will ever love me or want to be with me. I feel so dumb. The only person i can kind of rely on is my sister and she is mad at me half the time and gives me unhelp advice… my heart hurts so bad & all i want is to be with my mom

grief can be all consuming if we let it.  I am sorry you lost your mom.  Life is hard when we need to make decisions for ourselves.

Most people are not sure what they want to do may struggle with GPA and feeling like they have a future. Please learn to like yourself think of would your mom want you to try and do things or give up?    I found the best things that happen to me find me not me searching them out but a person needs to be open to life.

It is a hard time to lose a parent at the same age that you are becoming an adult there is a lot of confusion about future ... this all makes you normal .... and that does not always mean happy.

@gregariousBalsam585 I'm so sorry about your mum, that's such a huge loss to carry at 17. Everything you're feeling - the crying, panic attacks, hating yourself - sounds like grief, not you being broken or a loser. Please don't self diagnose the BPD thing, get it checked out properly, grief messes with your head in ways that mimic other stuff. And go to the dentist, not knowing is worse than just dealing with it. Not having life figured out at 17 is normal. Your sister still counts even when she's short with you. Talk to someone, a GP, counsellor, or Shout (text 85258). You don't have to do this alone. 💛

Hello, what are you going through is a lot. I hope you will find peace in life. If you want to chat, i am there for you. 😊

I'm so sorry about your mum. That must be so hard and difficult to carry. Especially when you're 17. Everything that you're feeling - like the crying and panic attacks and hating yourself . It all sounds like the rough processing of grief. Everything grieves differently ❤️ You are not broken nor a loser but it's normal to feel that way when you have lost someone so important in your life. I know it can be difficult to try to not self diagnose but sometimes our mental state affect our physical and vice versa. Plus not having life figured out at 17 is super normal and understandable. Make sure you're not suffering alone and do seek the support from people and resources around you. You don't have to do this alone and plus if you ever feel you need someone to truly listen. the community here on 7 cups is great for that. ❤️❤️
