I’m tired of it all!

I wish I could go back to last year. Things were fine last year.

This year? It feels like everything is falling apart and I can’t do anything about it.

Starting off, there’s online friend group drama that started in June and is still going. You may be able to grab the context from my last posts but one thing that annoys me lately is how even when I told our mutual friend about it all, including the breaching boundaries thing, they still act Buddy-Buddy towards my ex-friend. It makes me feel betrayed—I don’t want them to pick sides but I wish they at least didn’t act so buddy-Buddy or invite them into places I’m in without asking how I feel first.

Second, my parents are divorcing and my mom has wanted to move out for awhile now. I want to stay in my childhood home but it was never a choice.

Third, I failed my midterms and now I think im going to fail my first year of college. I didn’t even want to go to college. I don’t know what I wanted to do—I didn’t think I’d make it to 18 and now I have to deal with all of this.

I'm sorry life is hard at this moment in time.

College can be so overwhelming.

And we feel bad if we fail.

All you can ever do is try your best.

It doesn't feel like it, but this will pass and you will feel more settled again 💖💜

Hi … I am so sorry you are going through all of this. Divorce alone is horrendous—but add school and friendship troubles, that really sounds like too much to bear.

Do you have any counselors or people in administration that you can go to … in order to get some support? Even if it is to inquire about dropping a class or having a pass/fail option (some of my college classes had it, but that was a long time ago)?

I’m glad you are seeking support here, at least. Please feel free to ask anything. You totally deserve support with all that you are dealing with. My kids were little when I got divorced, but still it was hard on them. Again, divorce in general can tear a person up.

You will get through this.

@FaithfulScout

I may see if my college has anything that can help me. It's weird asking for help but I know that I need to ask someone.

I think asking for help is one of the hardest skills to learn. It’s awesome you’re going to do it … we have your back all the way!
