Just a thought

May 21st, 2020

I'm starting to think that I should sell my bed that way my depression won't take advantage of it anymore.

@helpfulArrow6093 There's some sense in that.

Research shows that sleep deprivation can sometimes help people to feel less depressed. But the effect doesn't last. In the long term, sleep deprivation makes depression worse. So maybe keep the bed after all.

You can read about the research here: Can Sleep Deprivation Actually Treat Depression?

@RarelyCharlie

mhm 😂 lol I never said I would stop sleeping On the contrary my problem is that sometimes I sleep too much and then I don't have any motivation or energy to get up so I stay the whole day in bed doing nothing but maybe if I could just use a sleeping bag with pad or something like that instead of bed maybe that way it would make me feel uncomfortable spending more time than necessary laying down and maybe I could get up and use my time more efficiently. Does that make sense?
