Loss of friends bc of mental health struggles
While I was undergoing an anxiety attack before a class in high school because my depression and anxiety was getting too much to bear, a classmate (and friend) I had back then asked me what was wrong. I said my “mental problems” got out of hand. I didn’t know then that what I was referring to were mental HEALTH problems (i.e., the depression and anxiety I had briefly in high school). I deeply regretted it, and the most I said to that friend the next day was “I’m sorry.” But the reason for the regret was I didn’t tell him what I was sorry for, and that I failed to clarify what I meant to say. I lost several friends after that, and I feel like my life hasn’t been the same since. This is because I dealt with occasional bullying and rudeness during my freshman year of college, as well as difficulty making friends as an adult. Although I just wanted to write this to get it off my chest, any advice would be appreciated.

Real friends are there through good and bad times.
Real friends see us.
Real friends understand we all go through mental health issues in our lifetime.
They are not who we are.
And they don't define us.
These weren't real friends if they walked away so easily 💖
