It can be really hard to admit that you may need help. How did you first open up to your parents about your depression?

@Kate

Opening up to parents about depression is totally hard, I agree D:

I think I never had to open up to them about it :3 I went to therapy for "Coping with grief" issues and I got diagnosed with Depression too. So, it was kinda easy for me to let them know because I was never the one that told them :3

Its extremely hard for me because when I hurt my mom hurts and i don't want her to worry about me. My dad was the same way before he got sick with Alzheimer's

My parents and I don’t talk much about my personal feelings. I tend to bottle them up and release them when i’m alone in an intense crying sesh. Does anyone have any tips on how to open up to them about it?
