Antidepressants....
I have resently started online therapy and my councelor wants me to go to the doctor and get antidepressants as she thinks I'm suffering from depression. I have never been able to talk about my feelings and stuff (hence speaking to a Councillor via messages instead of face to face) and the thought of talking to a doctor panics me. I also don't like the idea of being on medication. Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

There are lots of confused research results about this.
If you can get to a therapist, do that.
If you go to a doctor, they will of course give you antidepressants. And they may help, although a third of patients don't benefit from them.
And there is a growing belief that antidepressants can actually prolong depression, although they may reduce it's impact.
Where do you go from there?
Many people would agree with you about the idea of being on medication. However, I have heard that so-called "antidepressant" medication does help some people and therefore it could be worth trying for a short time while you have counselling. Later, when the counselling starts to work, you can gradually come off the medication.
It's a little strange that your counsellor didn't help you with your feelings of panic when you think about talking to your doctor. Perhaps, in your next online counselling session, it would help to explain how you feel about talking to a doctor face to face, so that your counsellor understands your situation better.
If you feel your counsellor is not able to understand your situation, there are other counsellors. One of the advantages of online counselling is that you are not limited to counsellors in your area, so you have more choice.
