I'll start: My name is Olivia. I have really been into crocheting lately, once I have free time from schoolwork. A random fact about me is that I have been to tons and tons of concerts and get super crazy about them, even though I'm naturally shy. It's like it brings out another side of me. Two qualities I'd like in a friend are that they must be able to geek out with me to music, and they must love dogs!

I enjoy listening to music while on walks, reading about history, all kinds of films and documentaries, have one cat, and am working towards a new career.
A lot of the time I over-think and get stressed which is why I love music so much, and occasionally isolate myself for days at a time. But I like spending time online talking to new people and being part of a community.
Usually I find it hard initiating conversations, so I might get a bit nervous - but I'm working on that and being more outgoing.
My name is Mel (25yrs), I like to play video games (right now, FFX HD), and I'm pretty darn good at writing/editing/etc. Two qualities I look for in a friend is a great sense of humor (little dark, able to make fun of themselves, etc) and a good reserve of hope for the future.

Hi everyone. I don't like my name, it sounds weird in english, so let it be... "Mike", I guess it's ok. I'm 21, working, studying, but I don't know why and what for.
I used to have a lot of friends, but it suddenly ended up, along with the high school. I stayed in my hometown, studying and working here, when all the others went far away. I got stuck between work, sleep and study, unable to make new friends, feeling more and more indifferent, incapable of enjoying anything.
I used to travel a lot, alone. In the past, it always lifted me up, but it doesn't anymore. The last activities I enjoy is eating and sleeping, so I'm slowly getting fat, and when I have a day off, ussualy I don't go out of my bed.
I spend most of my free time on the internet, trying to find someone to talk, but I guess I have too high demands. Most of my "online-friends" last no longer than an hour. I quickly loose enthusiasm, when I don't feel it from the other side. I gave up many relationships just because I lost enthusiasm.
When I'm alone, I often feel like I want to meet someone, talk to someone, but when I finally do it- I find out this is not what I need, and I feel even worse than before. I think I'm missing something, but I really don't know what.
The amout of "me", "my", "I" in my post terrifies me.
Is there anyone who wants to try to make friends with that kind of guy?

@viggen wow your life sounds a lot like mine. I used to have a lot of friends too. Everyone seems to disappear after highschool. The only difference is I have two kids at 21. I often try to find people to talk with whether in real life or through the Internet but people lack conversation skills these days. It is nice to see I am not the only one who feels this way.

@Jake321 Hey Jake, I like writing stories about people changing I guess, it's hard to explain but I'm just fascinated by what makes people change the way they think about themselves and the world and how that works with different personalities so I write stories about it.
