Hello, First time, not sure what to say or do or where to start. Recently diagnosed over tele-conference that I am BiPolar Depressed. Tendencies perhaps, but not BiPolar. Another label when they don't know how else to help you. My husband and I believe I have PTSD. My doctor is sending me for a diagnosis to another doctor. More medication? Why can't I simply sit down with an experienced person in pschology; tell my complete story [again], make some understanding of it all, find acceptance or even better a solution. I am not the same person, my life feels like a bad dream sometimes, I'm more scared, worried and depressed than I have ever been in my life. Stressors: Situational. Something my MHW and I figured out. I don't remember what it means; but it sounds fixable. My personality type is INFJ-T I am advocate. I am alone. I need help [lack of better health care where we live]. From one day to the next I do the same thing unfortunately but sometimes I find time to sit and work on a craft [not often enough]. I could keep typing but I said long list of issues and all of them are weighing me down to the point of affecting my health more. I am tired, and alone, and just want to be free of stress-worry-anger-fear-low self esteem-negative thinking-bad things happening. A lot to accomplish and I tell myself it's too much and I want to run. But I have nowhere to go. So here I am. A messed up isolated and depressed woman. Needing a friend. Sorry for myself ahead of time.

@pjgirl I agree with you. To sit down with an experienced person, tell your story and find a better understanding of it is exactly what happens when you go to a good therapist. (A bad therapist might only give you advice on how to cope.) In many cases, PTSD is easily treated this way.

On the other hand, if it turns out you really do have bipolar disorder, then many people with this disorder do find that medication is a very big help. I hope the other doctor can make an accurate diagnosis at last and get you the appropriate help.

Being messed up like this, isolated and depressed is no way to be. If you would ever like to chat about your situation, feel free to click on my picture and message me.
