Most days my biggest goal after waking up is getting through my day so that I can go back to sleep. I struggle severely with anxiety so much that I can feel it weighing down on my chest. Normal things don't seem to make me happy anymore I feel like a shell of the person I used to be. I felt this way for about four years now. I don't know if this feeling will ever go away or what I can do to make it better. And I guess I'm on here writing about this because I don't want to share these feelings with people I actually know

i actually feel the same.

hi, im kieleigh. i struggle with day in day out just feeling like garbage. my biological family on my moms side including my mom dont talk to me. they make no effort to talk to me. my dad is always at work. i feel like my stepmom hates me because im not her kid. i stay at my grandparents house now because of covid and get made fun of for how much i eat or sleep or just being a teenager. i cant do anything without someone poking fun at me and they dont care that theyre making fun of things i struggle with. my weight, how much i sleep, im sad and it feels like food and sleep are my only escapes. and when i try to tell someone theyre hurting my feelings they call me a snowflake or a sissy or a baby and down me because it genuinely hurts my feelings. i cant talk to anyone because it all goes back to my dad and step mom and they tell eachother everything and my step mom says i deserve it and pretty much doesnt care. or atleast it feels like it. i feel like noone actually cares.

hi kieleigh. Glad to know I'm not alone in thinking the world sucks most days. Although I'm sorry your feeling the same way. It's not easy to put on a fake smile and hide what's really going on. What would help make the situation better with your dad/stepmom? Have you tried talking to them together?

@Lookingforhelp0312- that is a lot to hold in. I hear your question- when will i feel better. Lately I also have been simply looking forward to the end of the day to crawl back into bed. THe current covid crisis has trampled any inititative. I hope you have someone you can call or talk to. Have you every considered therapy or professional help. It helps to have someone on your side. And assist you navigating towards better mental health. I know- I've been there. Take care.

@barncat

it weighs on me like nothing I've know. Outside I'm calm and collected. I own and manage a small company. Juggle my weekends with my kids and appear like everyone else. In my mind is chaos and clutter. The virus actually gives me reason to be my normal introverted self . Without it I have to work hard at pretending I'm happier in social settings then reality
