Dumb question but I see how to reply but how do I chat with a person that replies?

If the person is a listener in your age group, you can click their profile picture and click "leave a message," near the top. If they're a listener and you don't see this option, it's because they're a teen listener :) Members can't message each other, but you're welcome to chat in the forums or group rooms.
