Losing battle

Today is one of those days that the negative voice in my head is winning. Even though I know nothing she's saying is true, it's still so easy to believe her. She sounds so convincing. I've had a problem with her my entire life but lately, I've learned how to quiet her down. But she's too strong today. She's too angry that I've kept her locked away, annoyed that I haven't hated myself as much I usually do. She can't stand the idea of me having actual hope for the future, having an actual plan. She hates that I feel so certain. She was waiting for me to fall, for something to happen for me to feel sorry about myself. And she got it today. A higher up at work in few words said that I wasn't a valuable member of the team, that I'm not at all good. That I was holding back the team as a whole. I could've sworn the opposite. So my negative thought latched on to that with all her might, knowing that this was her chance to bring me down. I have nothing left in me today to fight. She can have this round. I can only hope to be stronger tomorrow

I'm so sorry. It is so hard to ignore negative thoughts sometimes. Everyone experiences them. Keep fighting and don't give up!

I just joined this group today, and I'm not sure how this works yet, but I wanted to respond to let you know you are heard. I also fight the voice inside me telling me I'm worthless. And while you might not have asked for validation, I validate your feelings. The bad days come, and all we can do is push through and hope for a better day. Don't let your boss, or anyone for that matter, make you feel less then. You bring worth, you are valuable, and you are nit holding anyone back. The voice loves to grab on to insecurities and amplify them, but we know better. We know deep down the voice is wrong. Keep strong, keep your head up and k ow your worth. I'm so sorry your day has been a rough one and I hope for a brighter one tomorrow.
