I'm not super good at wording this, but basically I'm 21 and finally came to terms that something's wrong with me. Never been diagnosed nor really saw any mental health pros (let alone, too afraid to go). Given how I have this feeling of being stuck and get my mood killed easily, I figured this be a start. It's a bit complicated to explain.

I would definetly talk to a doctor. I had really bad mood swings all the time. I was up and down. It took a couple of medications but now that I am on a better one, that is working. I feel much better. First step is getting a diagnosis and be honest what is wrong.

I worry that it might affect my line of work I fought hard for.

@Xym0x thankyou for joining us here in depression support. I hope you'll be able to share more and get some good advice, as well as work through and understand whats going on inside your mind. If your feelings are really affecting your day to day, it might be worth seeking a doctor, counsellor or therapist. Good luck

It's a combination of things. I feel stranded, stuck, and I'm stressed simmultaneously. My job requires me to be in a city I've never touched nor have people to help me out with adjusting. Fiance's job requires her to be in a compketely different country, and work's been loaded with shenanigans that's preventing me from learning how to do my job when in less than a year, I'll be the most senior person and be a supervisor. I wake up, work 10-12 hours, rekax with little time, go to bed, rinse wash repeat. I finally picked up kickboxing in hopes I can have an outlet and not my sutuation out of control. Things still feel kinda hopeless. Like I have the phrase "you're here forever" in the back of my head even after doing things I enjoy.

Wow...that does sound hectic and frustrating. One thing I have learned in life is that no phase lasts forever...sometimes, they last a few weeks, months, or even a few years. But things do change. You won't be stuck with this hectic phase permanently. Constant change is either one of the many blessings in life or one of the many trials—best of luck in this phase. Hang in there.

I want more of the stability than anything else at this point. Fiance was in town for the week and I felt amazing. Like I finally had a place to really call home and have something to look forward to no matter how crappy of a work day was. Having her in my arms made me forget the issues I was having. Of course, it was only for a week. Dropping her off to the airport brought back the reminders of my situation. Contractual obligations for years on both our ends with our jobs, across the globe. Another prison sentence if that makes sense. Now it's back to wake up, go to work, relax for a bit and hope to god kickboxing keeps the edge off of everything, go to bed for work. I feel out on my own once again now that the family that came to visit me I might not see for another few years while I'm here.
