What happened to me?

My name is Caylin. I'm 25, and I was recently involved in a class at a technical school, until my mental health completely deteriorated. I was coaxed into taking a medical leave to seek professional help. So here I am, with no responsibilities other than staying home, and cooperating with my doctors. So far I have cold turkey'd my bipolar medicine Of two years, started a new one for a month, had a bad reaction from it, cold turkey'd that one, started an anxiety med, started a new bipolar med, and my brain is spent. I have lost my job, scared my friend off, and almost lost my husband. I am having issues finding a therapist, having issues with my husband, and struggling with my depression and loneliness. I also have an issue involving self medication with drugs that help me get out of bed. I feel as though I am trying, but my husband claims I am doing nothing. This hurts me deeply. He acts more concerned about the housework being done, than his wife rotting in her bed from severe depression. I am looking for someone that understands me 🥺

@caylinisntwell

Hey there. I just read your post. It sounds like you have been going through a lot with your mental health. I am sorry to hear about your challenges with finding the right medication regimen that works for you. I know it can be a challenge and it can definitely take a toll on your body. From what you wrote, it sounds like it has. I know you write that your husband doesn't seem to understand and is more focused on physical stuff rather than things going on inside your head and you lost your friend, but I was wondering how you have expressed yourself so far. How do you feel about having him go to the doctor with you, if you haven't already done something like that?

And you will definitely find a lot of people here who understand you and can relate to you. Feel free to join the chat rooms. We have sharing circles every hour.

Hi Caylin. I may not be going through exactly what you are but I do understand as I am in a similar situation. I am a uni student who is struggling and i know it has been hard cause you feel alone and helpless and you don’t want to burden anyone with your problems. If you are financially stable I suggest seeking help. My therapist always tells me that nobody can help me or pick me up but myself. Therapy takes time and patience. I’m still working on it but it does help pls don’t give up. In the meantime, pls do message us here and let it all out so we can be a listening ear :) Also, maybe you could suggest your husband to follow you to see a therapist? I’m sure he is trying to understand what you’re going thro and sees your efforts but he just doesn’t know how to help as he doesn’t hv any experience in this. He is trying to distract you by talking about house chores, I think that’s his way of helping you tho it might not be the best solution. My bf used to do this too before he fully understood my depression. your existence in this world means a lot to me❤️ and I’m sure it means a lot to your husband and everybody in this community too
