International week of the Deaf
The International Week of the Deaf (IWD) is an initiative of the World Federation of the Deaf (WFD) and was first launched in 1958 in Rome, Italy. It is celebrated annually by the global Deaf Community during the last full week of September to commemorate the same month the first World Congress of the WFD was held.

Wow, I had no idea this existed! There should definitely be more outreach of this in the real world, especially now when masks are making it a lot harder for those who are HOH to lip-read.
@AnnaTess deaf people celebrated international week of the deaf annually with cultural programs, speeches of people from government (state (British English) (country in American English) and local), socializing among deaf people from whole state, etc, but in this year celebrations are different due to coronavirus.
In my country there is a law which states that if person is talking to person with hearing loss they can put their mask down if distance of 2 metres (6,5 feet) is maintained.
