Disablity By: Happy
Disablity does not mean you cannot do anything.
Disablity should not define who you are as a person.
People who are disabled are very smart and they just want,a chance to make a diffence in this World.
People who are disabled are hard working.
Hi my name is Happy and I have a Learning Disablity.
I was in spec ed all my life.
I graduated in 1994,with a GPA of 2.9
It was not any easy road,but I did not give up.
I am retired on disablity.
I do not drive,due to a coordination problem.
I also have Gerstmann Syndrome, which affects the way I learn things.
I have a math disablity as well.
I wanted to be an ordained minister,because God called me to serve.
So I went to see the Local Pastor of the church I was at.
I was Catholic at the time,not any more.
He said that because you are disabled,you cannot be ordained.
That hurt me.
But did I give up no.
In 2016 I enrolled at Dallas Theo.Sem,online.
I graduated in 2016,with a cert. in Bible Studies.
In Oct of 2016, I found a Pastor online,who ordained me and even gave me a certificate of Ordaination.
I am a Christain Pastor.
In 2018 I took a Leadership Course,through Christain Leadership Inst.
I passed it with a C average and Got a Certificate in Christan Leadership Basics.
In Oct of 2018,I started my own online church,where I serve as Founder, Lead Sr Pastor and Church Dir.
In Jan of 2020, I enrolled in Grace Bible School-Online.
There I took A Course Called God's Way,it is a Couse in Bible and Pastoral Counseling.
I passed it and got my Certification as a Bible and Pastoral Counselor.
In Jan of 2020, I enrolled in an online Peer Counseling Course.
I completed it and now have my Certification as a Peer Counselor.
In Dec of 2019, I completed and Passed the Active Listener Training from 7Cups.
In Jan of 2020, I became Certified as a level one listener at 7cups.
I am Also on The Welcome Committee,at 7Cups.
I am now trying to become a varified Listener,here at 7Cups.
So you see,even though I am disabled,I do not drive,I am retired on disablity,suffer from allergies,and have to go for shots,once a month, I was able to do all that.
No matter what disablity you have.
No matter what life brings you.
DO NOT GIVE UP,ON YOUR DREAMS,no matter how hard things are for you.
If you want something bad enough, then By Golly GO FOR IT.
DO NOT LET PEOPLE GET IN THE WAY.
My hope in writing this,is I hope it helps others with disablities at 7Cups to share there stories.
I also hope for those who are not disabled,that it makes them think, how bless and lucky they are that they are not disabled.
I also hope,that me sharing my story about my life,will make others stop and think,that I should be there friend,rather then make fun of them.
I should not Judge People who are different then me,rather I should love them for just as they are.
