Weekly Check in July 13th - 19th

Hello disability community!

Disability support network is very important for those who are disabled in order to alleviate their day to day life and to ensure they feel well and that they are included in as much aspects of life as possible. Support is meant in broadest way possible - from family, friends and general community being supportive to someone with disability to accessibility and affordability of any accomodations needed, inclusion at schools and workplace, etc.

Check in questions:

1. How are you satisfied with your disability support network?

2. How would you like that disability support network supported you?

3. How was your week?

4. What was going well and what was not going well last week?

@WeedyGarden It must be very hard for you that your disability support network is small and does not include community. I hope that there will be more inclussion in future. I am glad that things went well for you last week.

I am sorry to hear you don't have a strong DSN. I can relate to this! It definitly can make our steuggles more difficult.

1. How are you satisfied with your disability support network?

My DSN consists of my family and friends online... Though they try to understand but i get its difficult for them.

2. How would you like that disability support network supported you?

I would like more support from the drs and not just being told i i 'too young' because they are leaving me to cope alone.

3. How was your week?

I got a recovery package yesterday and video calling my friend today but im im v up and down just trying to take it easy!

4. What was going well and what was not going well last week?

End of last week i returned off my self care break. It was definitely needed! Though i was worried i may have needed to extend it! We shall see how i go!

Stay Strong and Keep Fighting
