Having RSD/CRPS
I suffered a right foot trauma when I was thirty. Pain is usually a symptom one associates with this occurance. I had multiple surgeries to retain my foot and it was finally fused in one position. Unfortunately, the pain I had did not lessen; if anything it increased. At Cleveland Clinic, my physician diagnosed me with reflex sympathetic dystrophy; also know as complex regional pain syndrome. I learned my nervous and immune system did not function properly. This condition is rare; not many people have it and women tend to develop it more often than men. The pain is like nothing else I have ever experienced. At first, having my nerves overract caused me a lot of stress. Pain became deep and breathtaking. I have tried many therapies; A pain block was one. It did not work. Warm water therapy has brought a minimum of relief. I am currently investigating other therapies to see if I can obtain more relief. If anyone else has this condition. please let me know what has worked for you. xandia![]()

Hi, I can understand your situation, it is indeed very difficult to deal with chronic pain conditions.
I am not suffering from similar condition but just thought of suggesting few things. ( I am not medical expert, so just take this as suggestion & you can consult with your therapist about them, you can also decide to ignore them completely).
1. Meditation or mindfulness activities has shown to benefit chronic pain to certain extent. At least it will wok on the anxiety or stress part associated with chronic pain. You can explore about this through google on any other search portals & can also discuss with your doctor.
2. There is one natural ingredient (its not a drug, comes under food supplement) Palmitoyethanolamid (PEA) which is shown to improve chronic pain specially pain originating from nerves (neuropathy pain). You can read about PEA & can also discuss with your doctor about this.
3. There is one self help guide on 7cups for dealing with chronic pain, you can just go through this & try to look if you find anything useful https://www.7cups.com/chronic-pain/
Again to say, these are just suggestions, its completely upto you to decide whether you want to try any of these options.
I hope you soon find some useful therapy for your pain. Take care
