I'm in so much pain and I can't do anything

I don't know where to post this but I'll try here. I have chronic migraines and they get very painful. So painful that I just start crying and I can't do anything but cry. I deal with them by taking a specific pain med and they usually only help a tiny bit but it's enough for me to do something besides cry. I tried different meds in the past and they never worked but I finally found one that did. I ran out of them about a week ago and now my mom refuses to get me them. She says that I lie about how bad they are and compares them to her headaches. I tell her that they aren't just headaches but she's the one that knows everything I guess. She won't help me and doesn't care that I'm in pain. Everything hurts and I don't know what to do. I can't leave the house and I have no one that can help me take the pain away. My head just starts going into a dark place because I'm in so much pain.

This sounds terrible to have to deal with and then your parent not allowing you to get the medication that helps. I hope you can find something works and get the medication that you need as well.

My neurologist told me to take vitamin B 12. It helped. However she used to prescribe me that. Now she can’t anymore !! I take excedrin migrane. I get those migraines where I am crying and puking too and while puking cause of the pressure the mograne gets worse and m literally wailing loud in the bathroom. What is worse is calling in sick from work. Have u gone to neurologist? Do u take any prescribed meds Although excedrin migrane helps However it increases anxiety. And that s hard for me

That sounds really rough to be going through. I actually had something similar happen to me when I was younger. I had daily migraine attacks that were rarely helped by any types of pain killers. For a long time my mother was the same way not believing it was as bad or claiming I didn’t need help. I still have migraines to this day but I use a lot of herbal supplements to help. Anyway I do feel bad that you are going through something like this. I wish you all the luck in handling this. I hope things get better. If you ever need someone to talk to who’s been there. I am here to talk.

Hi there. I know firsthand what it's like to deal with debilitating chronic migraine. I know it's discouraging to hear the comparisions. No one will ever know what it's like to suffer with chronic migraine if you haven't gone through it yourself, no one understands. It can feel like your pain has you under control and as if you are quite literally trapped in your own head with no support.

I first ask, have you tried any injections for the migraines, such as Botox, Aimovig, Ajovy, or even nerve block injections? I think these could be beneficial to you if you have not tried already. As far as the medication you are on at the moment that seems to help you quite a bit... you have to advocate for yourself. You have to accept that no one will be able to understand. If it helps, it's worth fighting for. Don't give up. You have to push through and do your best and take it day by day. All you can do when you have migraines is value the GOOD days and take the bad days as they are. I'd be happy to connect with you on here so we can chat more.

I see your pain. You aren't all alone in your pain. There IS hope. You can do it, I'm proud of you for reaching out on here dear.
