A Poem For All Disabled People

🌊Disabled, but not defeated,
My body may be weakened, but my spirit's undefeated.
Challenges may come, but I'll never retreat,
My determination won't let me accept defeat.

My wheelchair may limit my physical range,
But my heart and my mind, they are still free to exchange.
I may have some limitations, but I can still thrive,
I'll find my own way to keep the fire alive.

I'm not defined by my disability,
I'm defined by my strength and my ability.
I won't be held back by society's view,
I'll show them all that I can do.

So don't pity me or feel sorry for my plight,
I'm capable, I'm fierce, I'm ready to fight.
My journey may have obstacles, but I'll find my way,
I'll make my mark, in my own unique way.

@BelovedMe

This is an amazing poem! I think it is very true. People are not defined by their disability/illness! For example. Stephen Hawking was disabled, and could not move or even talk without using a device but he was one of the greatest scientists to contribute to our knowledge about the universe. He too focused on what he can still do instead of focusing on the losses and misfortunes that are there.
