Congenital Heart Defect Awareness
Feb 14 is Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Day and the last day of it's awareness week.
Congenital refers to being born with it. Congenital Heart Defects (CHDs) include a range of defects. These are the most common types of congenital defects affecting millions of newborns worldwide. Some causes are known, such as infections during pregnancy, substance abuse or it's related to a medical condition but often there isn't a known cause.
Treatment can range from monitoring, the use of medications, procedures such as catheterization or valve replaces, or a heart transplant.

Thanks for posting this, @wonderfulmagic99 I think that many people either don't know about Congenital Heart Defects or CHD for short. It is interesting because it is one of the most common birth defects that one has. The good part is that most are minor conditions and are easily treated, or there is no treatment needed. But, there are a few cases that could be more serous and need medical care shortly after birth. But, because so many people live with it and most people would not even know it.
