June 27 - International Scoliosis Day

June is Scoliosis Month and today is International Scoliosis Day.

Scoliosis is a lateral or sideways curvature to the spine, creating an S or C shape. It affects about 2-3% of people.

There are various causes and it can be congenital or it may appear in older children. There are various conditions that it has been associated with.

Scoliosis can lead to pain, and depending on the severity it can also cause problems such as decreased lung capacity. It can be treated through methods such as physical therapy, bracing, and surgery.

Wow i didnt know its international scoliosis day. Yay? I have scoliosis. It dosnt interfere with my life but yay for weird celebration days!! Woot🎉🎉

@wonderfulMagic99 my back is curved like an S. i have degenerative disc desease and bone spurs, L4 & L5 lower back bulging disc. so my scoliosis affects my every day and prevents me from doing things.
