Trying to seek help and really be honest with people. I hate opening up about this to people because it gives them misinformation. First they know I have a learning disability and they they treat you differently… but I’m open to getting back into getting the support and help I need when things get overwhelming. I mean that’s basically why I deal with a lot of mental health issues cause I feel like I can take on tasks or anything and not need the help but in reality I do. I just need to follow up with my therapist on a regular basis. Seek speech therapy and using resources like games and brain activities throughout the day to help with my LD along with using the grounding techniques. This is why it’s difficult for adults now because as a child you are born with a disability and struggle with verbal communication throughout your life. Ughh it really sucks. but I am trying to stay optimistic.

Does anyone else deal with learning disabilities?

@808islandchick

I admire your honesty and the way you advocate for yourself.

You truly deserve the same as anyone else.

And you have so much to offer.

Never forget that 💚 😊
