Not where I thought I'd be at 26 years old
Does anyone else struggle with this? I'm not where I'd imagined I'd be now. I thought I'd have a job, and be moved out, totally independent but now it's hard for me to even get from my bed to the balcony. I can't go far distances in general without needing to rest and can go even less far without my cane or rollator. I need assistance for everything not just physically but because of mental reasons too. But a lot of it is also chronic illness. I'm even in and out of doctor appointments more than already usual lately because now they suspect a new diagnosis. I feel like everything is falling apart and I'm not where I pictured at all. And it hurts.
I’m so sorry you’re struggling :( I have chronic physical issues myself. We’re here for you, and we love you <3
I get it so much! This is exactly how I feel! I didn’t think anyone else could possibly understand what I’m going through and feel like this! I’m on forearm crutches and rely on caregivers for the simplest tasks now. I didn’t use to be this bad until the illnesses and diagnoses kept progressing and piling up. All I ever do is go to stupid appointments. I just feel like I’ve lost myself because I can’t do any of the things I used to do or enjoy. I feel useless because I can’t work anymore and I was the person who worked constantly and everyone came to with all their problems. It cost me my relationship because no one wants to be with the disabled chronically ill guy. This is not where I pictured I’d be. Not at all. What’s worse, I don’t know how to fix it.
