Unconventional Mobility Aids

Hi! I know this is a strange question, but I'm wondering about some unconventional mobility aids people use (such as a grabber or sliding board). I myself use a grabber and occasionally use my cane when I feel like I'll need it.

This is a bit more than just curiosity's sake, if I'm honest. I'm working on a story revolving around a character that uses different mobility aids and although I'm doing my best in my research, I can't seem to find many answers with a cursory glance and nearly every site talks about canes, walkers, wheelchairs, rollators, and crutches, but nothing about the ones that are seemingly overlooked.

I would really appreciate some answers if you're willing to give. Again, I would love to learn about the unconventional mobility aids like grabbers and sliding boards and power add-ons.
