I am in so much pain right now. I just got done vomiting. I allready medicated with aleve and I smoked AND sublingually took CBD. Also currently sitting down with a heating pad wrapped around my neck. I cant think of any thing else to do other than take some diphenhydramine to knock me out. Does anyone have any advice at all on how to deal with this. It feels like someone has got a death grip on my neck and is just pulling it right off my body.

You might also want to try some ice and alternate ice / heat every 15 minutes. Ensure you are keeping the fluids up also since you are vomiting. Not sure how long you have been doing this but you might want to see a doctor if this has been 3 days. If running a fever urgent care or ER triage nurse can also maybe give you some ideas on how to help out. A warm or cold wash cloth on your forehead might also feel good.

@DanaMH

The pain passed about 7 hours after this post. I still have some residual muscle tension in my neck, but its no where near what it was before. This type of pain is pretty usual for me, although it seems completely unmanageable and goddamn awfull in the moment. Im feeling much better now that the majority of it has faded. When the pain starts up I usually roll my neck around to make sure its not meningitis and then take my temperature. I was able to touch my chin to my chest and I had no fever so I know it wasnt an infection.

Switching between ice and heat is a really good idea! I will try that next time my neck gets bad! Thank you!

Your welcome. You might also ask your doctor if there are some neck exercises that might help out.

@DanaMH

I currently see a chiropractor regularly who makes adjustments to my neck and back and also prescribes exercises for me to complete twice daily. I do my best to do them every morning and every night, but life gets in the way sometimes!
