Help!
I've been in therapy now for a while now for an eating disorder, and I've realized that these weekly sessions aren't facilitating recovery, in fact I have yet to be at a stable place since starting therapy. Since it's now the summer months and there isn't school anymore, I'm revisiting the idea of whether or not to pursue inpatient or intensive outpatient. I've begun to struggle more, and it's my fear that if we switch therapists and try to add once weekly nutritionist appointments, we'll be losing these crucial weeks to end the behavior as soon as possible in more of a controlled environment. Because I'm now out of school trying to navigate the thick of this, I'm worried about the decline worsening. So my question is when do I consider inpatient, or more intensive options? I want this vicious cycle to end so badly, I'm just at a loss for the professional support that's cruicial to making it possible to recover.
