Recovery Accountability

September 3rd, 2017

Ciao, my name is Alina. I have an eating disorder and I promised someone that I would recover so that's basically why I'm here I guess. I guess this is going to be a sort of accountability thing. I'll just talk about my goals and my progress throughout all of this. I visit this pro-ana website called [edited by Anomalia to remove site name] and I actually love it and I won't give it up just because I'm recovering, I might just not use it for tips and tricks and stuff like that. A little about me is I've been doing this anorexia thing you for a long long time. I'm 13 and weigh just above [edited by Anomalia to remove weight specifics] lb. I'll try hard but I won't give up on a light diet, I will just not make it as harsh as to where theres nothing to eat for a few days. I thank you and I hope you stick with me through this journey.

@alishea - Hi lovely, I'm really glad you're here. I know it can be tough in recovery to give up some of the things you've been leaning on, but it can also be important sometimes to let go of the things that hold you back from getting healthy and letting yourself heal. I used to spend a lot of time on pro-ana websites and I know they can be pretty dangerous in terms of encouraging a mindset that doesn't let you recover or take the steps you need to.

How has your recovery been so far? It's been a couple weeks since you posted this - what progress have you made? What has been the toughest part? Do you feel like you've been able to stay accountable to it?
