Recovery is Hard.

Uhh I keep seeing these transformation pics and they're really triggering. I want to be thin, get ribs and collarbones. As sick as it sounds I want to lose my period. It means I've accomplished something. I want to get to my goal weight. I want a thigh gap. I want people to notice me, I want to be known. I want to be worth something. This is scary. I'm scared.

Hello there sweetie!

Thanks you some sharing your thoughts here today, and I hope you do receive some support and ideas from your posting.

Recovery and change is hard my friend, I'm not going to butter it up and suggest for one second this is easy, because it's not, and change can be scary at times, of course it can, but once you have made changes to your life style, you will begin to feel much more confident and happy in yourself, all you need is the right level of support and commitment, surround yourself with positive influences, the people that matter to you, make you smile and love you for who you are. Change is good, I really hope you have a good support network and guidance to help steer you through this challenging time, you are not the only person to feel this way, the majority of people are not comfortable in their own skin, so but we find a way to get through this, love ourselves and our bodies. You are not alone, reach out to one of our trained listeners, who are available to help support you.

You matter, your important, stay strong and focused dear, and you will be just fine

Best wishes

@MaddyN00 - You are 100% right - recovery is so hard. And scary. And it's alright to feel scared, to feel overwhelmed, or to feel frustrated by it - those are all really natural feelings. But recovery is also important, and recovery is ultimately worth it.

If you need any extra help along your journey, don't hesitate to reach out - I would be more than happy to support you in any way I can.
