alr so I'm a gymnast and I just had major elbow reconstruction surgery. I can't do any physical excercize in the gym for 3 weeks. I'm used to working out 30 hours a week. I only feel accomplished when I work out for long hours. With not being able to do anything I'm worried that my body image issues will get even worse. I'm scared of feeling terrible because I can't workout. I'm eating habits have become worse as I try to compensate for the lack of working out.

Thank you for sharing! Please know, that proper recovery requires complete rest and good nutrition. Eating less and trying to get back to working out before full recovery may cause more problems! Take care of your health, and remember what your goals are!

I know that people that had injuries can do pilates, because its not hard on the body. I would discuss with your doctors tho before doing anything, but maybe its a possibility
