Hey, @imsorryitry
I'm really sorry to hear you've been struggling lately. It sounds like you've had a really hard time getting yourself to eat and have a lot of anxiety around food and eating, to the point you've been using laxatives. I want to say that you don't need to have an official diagnosis to be struggling with food or have an eating disorder, and you certainly deserve help just as much as someone with an official diagnosis.
When eating gets challenging for me, and I can feel a lot of anxiety building up during and after I eat, I try and use some coping mechanisms like deep breathing and distracting techniques. Some people find this helpful in reducing the anxiety after you eat and the feeling like you need to somehow compensate for eating. Eating many small meals as well tends to be easier than eating a few big meals.
Lastly, have you tried telling someone you trust about what's been going on? Eating disorders are serious medical conditions that should never be left untreated. I'm sorry that you're having a hard time with eating recently, but I'm also glad you were brave enough to share what you'ee been dealing with. Hang in there. I'm rooting for you!
@imsorryitry I've never dealt with anorexia or bulimia, but I know sometimes I have trouble eating when I get really anxious, and I've found that foods that are fun help a bit! Clementines are one of my favorites; you peel them and pick them apart and eat them one at a time. I also find that eating while I'm walking to the bus stop is nice, since my mind isn't on eating but on the walk there. Other methods of distraction while I'm eating, such as watching cartoons I loved as a kid during breakfast, are good too. I have a notebook I carry with myself every day where I catalog all of the day's accomplishments, and I often include what I've eaten during the day. I try to meet three meals a day, and have something from all four food groups in there. That way, I feel obligated to meet that goal, or else I won't have something positive to put in the book. This is all I have, but I hope it helped and I hope you'll get better ^^
