@Biida According to what I've read, diabetes is very controversial at present, because experts disagree about what causes it and how to treat it. If you are sometimes testing positive, and sometimes negative, some experts say you might be heading for diabetes in the future.

Doctors can generally control diabetes pretty well. I know several people who have diabetes under control with medical help, and it doesn't really seem to affect their lives too much.

Other people say that a special diet can reverse diabetes if you identify the condition at an early stage. The diet is sometimes known as "ketogenic" and you can look that up if you want to find out more. Weirdly, 7 Cups has a lot of spam that appears to advertise something similar, but I do not recommend clicking on spam links! You don't need to pay anyone to look it up for yourself on the Internet.
