binge eating habits

I never noticed this in myself before seeing these youtube videos of others documenting their binge days. I'm not diagnosed with anything but i suspect I could be having issues regarding binge/overeating. Quick backstory, when I was 4-6 years old my aunt would make me eat food even past my own limits and I would find ways to secretly throw away the food. When i got older I never really had proper eating times and just ate whenever I pleased until I felt stuffed. Ive also had a pretty big appetite since middle school. I kinda started being self aware a few months ago when I decided to lose some weight during quarantine by eating more proteins and stuff at proper meal times, but never felt satisfied. Some days Id give in and end up eating anything I found in my house at 1am. The past 2 weeks have been really bad, I begin with eating well in the day but at night get hungry and stuff myself with junk (i remember one day i had 2 huge bowls of cereal, instant noodles, cake slice, chocolate strawberries, popcorn, oatmeal) and still felt like i couldve fit more. Its like the hunger is endless and nothing will ever satisfy it. Its 3am for me as I type this and I gave into a binge at 11pm, but am craving sweets again. Why can't I ever feel fulfilled?sad

@neptunenymph

That sounds very hard. Unfortunately part of bingeing is restricting those foods in your day-to-day life. So allowing instant noodles for lunch instead of pushing them off until you have to binge at night can be amazing! Forming regular eating times with some snacks and 3 meals is also great for making sure that you are eating regularly and don't get to the point of hunger where you feel the need to binge. Good luck! heart

You should eat what your body needs and not your heart or mind. The day you understand that your body needs too little and you are having too much, you will get back to basics
