In the theme of AWARENESS, this Eating Disorder Awareness Week, let's talk about what you wish other people understood about your eating disorder.

I'll start:

- I wish that people knew that my eating habits and weight aren't the only indicators of how I'm doing. If I'm eating normally, I might still need support.

- I wish that people knew that there are more eating disorders than just anorexia and bulimia.

- I wish that people knew that eating disorders aren't a choice, aren't about vanity, and aren't easy to just 'get over'

Oh let me add on to this list! cheeky

-I wish that people knew that my eating disorder is beyond my own control- I don't really like it myself, but it can be pretty difficult to overcome.

-I wish that people knew about the emotions I go through with my eating disorder, especially when they judge about it.

I'm kinda really late but I wish people knew that just because I eat normally once does not mean I'm better I still need help sometimes. I also wish people realized that they can say words like fat, ugly, small, and skinny around me it's not gonna make me "worse"

my eating disorder would have a derranged look in her eyes and a memory full of tricks, and secrets. she would also have quite a temper, a fondness for crying and the scale. she would be me I am my eating disorder.
