@PhoenixAsh

Phoenix - I'd like to believe you, really I would.

I know there are at least 3 teen listeners that have been involved in this ED Forum discussion - where are the adult listeners? sad Do you, the teen (L), know the answer? (shakes head at/for self) I don't know who to ask for or look for. ~ Platy

@windflowers

Hi wind.flowers, No, I was responding to Phoenix's post. Nothing to do with the forum hunt or scavenger hunt or however it is called. Thanks for reading my post though. ~ Platy

@cyanPlatypus6370 if you go to browse listeners (or find a listener on app) you can search for adult listeners who listen to topics related to eating disorders

@PhoenixAsh

I was afraid someone would say that. I am highly familiar with Browse Listeners, I appreciate the new search methods, but it still has no way to tell me what type of experience any certain (L) has or if they've only heard 'stuff' about an ED or what. Maybe I'm too picky :( Thanks but that wasn't my question either. Oh well. ~ Platy

Where are all the adults within this forum discussion? Do we have any adult listeners in this? (sigh)

@cyanPlatypus6370 You could include "verified listeners" in your search. There's no guarantee that'll they'll be very experienced, sometimes it takes a few tries to find a listener who works for you ^-^

Sorry for misunderstanding your question though! It seems that no adult listeners have participated in this thread yet, however some participated in earlier posts for this discussion (the first post can be found here). I hope I understood correctly this time!

Recovery is a journey. It has it's ups and downs and it is not easy. It can take a long time to reach a stable recovery state, but it is possible.

There are usually more resources available than you realize.

No matter what there is someone who loves you. Maybe it's an online friend, a classmate, a sibling, etc. There is someone who cares.

You deserve a life free of this cycle.

Recovery is possible, you're not alone in this and your friends and family are essential in your support system.

Also, it won't be a straight up journey, so please don't hate yourself for not doing it the "rigth" way. And everybody's different, the only right way to do it is yours and only yours heart
