Hello ED Warriors! heart

Today I started to think about the different things, that one may say that instead of helping support us - actually triggers us further into our eating disorder. Sometimes its hard to know the line and what we should avoid saying, so I thought a thread may be a good idea so that others know things that they should avoid. Please Note: In this thread there are likely to be messages that may be triggering to different individuals. Please do not read past this point if you are easily triggered. Therefore I am starting this thread to share some messages and help others learn what not to say.

I'm gonna put a TW anyway, even though there's one in this forum. I am undiagnosed, and as such, my family isn't aware of what they say. I don't blame them, but that doesn't make it any easier to hear.

"You eat what? 200 calories a meal?"

"You look great! you've lost so much weight"

"You know, your self control is really admirable"

*casually mentioning my gw* "That's really low"--*me knowing it's the highest possible point to not be ocnsidered overweight* "It's really not"

*about sister* "Yeah, X eats a lot, she's like a bottomless pit."

"well not with *deadname* here eating everything"
