***TRIGGER WARNING*** Mentions of weight loss and related problems

Hey, guys. I stopped eating back in June. At first, it wasn't conscious but soon I was purposely restricting my food intake. After awhile my parents noticed that I was hardly eating. By January I weighed (Edited by EssenceOfHope for mentioning specific weight counts) (I'm a 5'2 female, btw). I check the scale every day at least and I'm scared if the number is higher than last time. I forced myself to eat after my hair started falling out and last week I had a bit of a freak out because I weighed in at (Edited by EssenceOfHope for mentioning specific weight counts) and subsequently tried to drop my weight. I spend too much time in the mirror and sometimes won't eat, depending on the number on the scale. Sometimes I eat a lot during the day but a lot of the time my brain is like "don't you dare".

I don't know if this is an eating disorder or not. Please Help Me.

hey, @CasseAngeAile! Thank you for taking the time to open up, it takes a lot of courage to let someone else see your struggles and I am proud of you for that. I had to edit out the specific weight counts as we have a rule to not mention any specific weights in our sub-community. It seems like you have been dealing with restrictive behaviour towards food for a while. It can be difficult to see a higher eight count even though deep down you know that it is the right thing. You seem to have quite a conflict with food. To me, it sounds like Anorexia but I am no professional and only a professional can tell you for sure. *Hugs* Maybe this link can help you a bit.

@EssenceOfHope

Thank you. And I was unaware of the rule, my apologies.

@CasseAngeAile I agree with EssenceofHope and I would recommend seeking professional help. Please don't feel ashamed, it's important to take care of yourself and ask these important questions. Welcome to the 7 Cups community and please feel free to reach out!

@beautifulKoala49

Thank you so much. I suspect Atypical Anorexia since I'm not technically underweight. It's difficult though because I don't think my parents would be very supportive because, as I said, I don't look anorexic. I'll figure it out. Thaks again.
