I don't know what's happening
I'm scared. It's summer and I haven't been eating much since school let out. I sit in bed all day and eat only 2 meals a day. I'm not trying to do anything. But if I did end up loosing a ton of weight I wouldn't really care. I am very self conscious of my weight and have been trying to get down to at least [edited by Anomalia to remove weight specifics / triggers]. I am 14 and my height is 4'11 and I weigh [edited] pounds. I am so scared to gain weight and it is all I think about. What is happening?
@Screensaver301 I am sorry you are sounding sad and unmotivated. That can be a sign of depression. Have you considered seeing a therapist? Other support options might be having a 1-1 chat with a listener for teens.
[edited by Anomalia to remove weight specifics] pounds sounds very small for a weight to aim at. It might put you in risk of illness to be that small. You should consult with your general practitioner and have them evaluate the range of weights appropriate for age and height. If you want to see what one site thinks about your weight and height you could look here. https://www.rush.edu/health-wellness/quick-guides/what-is-a-healthy-weight Put in your weight and height and it says what range you are in.
The other thing that can happen if someone obsesses with losing weight they may start having an eating disorder. These are very serious when a person obsesses with losing weight when they are already in a normal range (see doctor for this).
