I’m happy today..
my mother finally acknowledged my body dysmorphia today..and actually wants to help..
I’m not exactly sure when it even started..possibly when everyone around me was pressuring me to gain weight. I’m 18(F) and weigh about 98-100 pounds. The issue with this is that I’m a trisport athlete, and I find myself lacking energy because I’m not consuming enough..so a lot of coaches have pressured me into gaining weight. It ruined my relationship with food.
my mother wants to help me build that relationship back, but it’s scary. I’m terrified of gaining weight.
im not sure what to do

I’m glad that your mom wants to support you in building a healthier relationship with food! Given that you’ve been struggling with this for a while, it’s understandable to feel scared about the idea of gaining weight. Remember that recovery is a journey, and it's okay to take things one step at a time.💜
