I need advice

I've just started going to gym and I wish it was for the right reasons. Today I wore shorts to the gym for the first time and I was scared. I kept on thinking people were looking at me, judging me and I got scared. It took me an hour to convince myself to wear it today. I just wish that I was going there for the right reasons, that I actually wanted to be healthy but all I could think about is the quickest way to lose weight, to get rid of it all. But today I've only had one meal and I'm not planning on having another. I am so hungry but it's like food is not even a option. I'm terrified that if I eat one thing I could gain more weight.

To lose weight you should do more exercises and eat only healthy food. You must refuse from fastfood and other take-and-go foods, eat more fruits, steamed vegetables, and less fried. Also you can try to take some supplements like fullerene c60, it is very useful for our skin, body and muscle building, read more about its advantages https://mstnano.com/product-category/nanomaterials/fullerene/ . i hope my advice will help you yo lose weight.

hi coming from someone who struggles with body dysmorphia and has been dealing with this for 10 years i can tell you that this isn't the way to go. go to the gym and eat three times a day. if you're only eating once a day you're not fueling your body with energy which causes tour body to actually hold on to the fat that you have. exercise for at least 30 minutes it doesn't have to be miserable just get your body moving for at least 30 minutes

@straightforwardKiwi5925 I am a recovering anorexic and now competitive powerlifter and bodybuilder and am qualified to tell you the facts: Not eating, or eating only one meal a day as you are, is actually going to make you look worse and actually store more fat. Why? Because when your body perceives that it is starving, it goes into survival mode and stores as much fat as it can to keep you alive during times you are not giving it sufficient nutrition.

Your metabolism is like a coal furnace; if you want to burn more fat, you need to keep shoveling in coal to keep the fire hot (the coal being food). Eating small meals frequently (about 6 times a day) will help boost your metabolism. I want you to try this: eat plain chicken breast (not deep fried or anything like that, but just plain chicken breast) and you can put some sugar free seasoning on it and it's okay, and broccoli. You can eat as much chicken and broccoli as your stomach can handle throughout the day, 6 times a day, and you'll notice you'll start looking better and better.

You also need to find out your "macros" and your caloric requirements. For me, my daily maintenance requirements are around 4000 calories just for me to maintain my current weight, before I even begin gaining another pound. As long as I stay at that caloric limit, i won't gain any weight. For you, I'm guessing you're somewhere in the 1800-2500 range (but that's just an assumption. You should find a calculator online to give you your actual requirements). Once you have that number, all you need to do is stay within your caloric limits every day and you wont have to worry about gaining weight. And if you want to lose weight, the calculator can tell you what calorie number to hit as well.

Remember: eating is important for getting lean and losing weight. Starving or extreme restriction of eating will actually give you the opposite of what you want. You just have to find your macronutrient requirements (fats, protein and carbohydrates) and make sure you're meeting your needs every day for your body to work properly.

Be patient and love yourself.

Hey!

I just wanted to add that, I can relate to you. I used to become so self conscious, about my body. I used to skip meals in order to lose weight. But let me tell you, it's no way to go. My body became vulnerable and my immunity levels came so down. Let's say, I've learnt the lesson hard way!

So, just work hard in the gym, have healthy foods, and stay positive about yourself. And yeah, don't feel guilty for sometimes gulping down some calories, cause, why not! Life's too small to miss out these things! Don't be too hard on yourself.

Good Day :)
