Not feeling hungry or empty for days
Not suffering of any eating disorder as far as I'm aware.
Currently im in a period where im not feeling any hunger or urge to eat. It started earlier today, normally I just kinda eat at set times even when not hungry but I'm struggling to find the energy to get up let alone make and eat food.
I am drinking water so there's that.
Not really sure about the point of this post, just wanted to share I guess
@Madaraismyspiritanimal
to me it sounds like you might have depression or at least some of the symptoms you mentioned are also symptoms of depression a lack of motivation/energy to get up and do things and a lack of appetite although something could also be medically wrong causing you to feel this way it would be a good idea to get to a doctor and find out whats wrong the longer you go without eating the less energy your going to have so the sooner you go the better
@jennysunrise8
Yeah probably should've mentioned that I was diagnosed with depression and am on anti depressants
They make the negative sad and angry feeling less violent but also numb my normal senses
@Madaraismyspiritanimal
sometimes antidepressants can make a person more depressed everyone reacts to medications differently everyone is an individual increased depression is a possible side effect of any antidepressant it sounds like the antidepressant your on your having a bad reaction to
@jennysunrise8 I'm combining 2 of them after having a lot of side effects from 4 other ones before that and these seem to have the least side effects, but I'll keep discussing it with my therapist, she's been very helpful so far. So I'm confident we'll figure it out
@Madaraismyspiritanimal
yea it can take a while to find the best fit for you thats a good idea to let your therapist know exactly how your feeling that its better than the others but you still feel extremely depressed to the point you dont want to eat or do anything there are different ways antidepressants work the most commonly prescribed antidepressants are SSRIs and all of the different medications youve been given so far very likely couldve all been SSRIs but for some people that class of antidepressants just doesnt work or they have a bad reaction to some antidepressants work in completely different ways and when you find the right kind for you it can really change your life so dont be satisfied feeling miserable and so unmotivated you dont even want to eat thats no way to live it can be a lot better dont give up <3

Thank you for the encouragement, but I'm already going to therapy multiple times a week, but there are still many hard moments
@Madaraismyspiritanimal
I understand, it is not easy to get better, and you won't always improve, but important is to achieve the results of your personal growth and move forward from the past.
Update: cooking food for me and my aunt im living with, not sure how much I'll eat, but it's a start
@Madaraismyspiritanimal
good job when your climbing a mountain just look at the rock right in front of you sometimes thats just putting one foot in front of the other thats how you get there without becoming overwhelmed and giving up and even if you know that sometimes you might forget im glad you decided to eat you can message me anytime too or write here and let us know how your doing
@jennysunrise8 I did eat all my food. Now my stomach is quite upset cause I ate it as fast as I could so I wouldn't have time to stop and lose appetite again. I feel like I should feel good or proud for caring for myself, but I just don't, always looking for things that are negative
A mindset that keeps working its way into every part of my life

I'm sorry that you are having to go through this! I hear you saying that your medication has been changed. How recently did this happen? Medications do take time to take effect as I'm sure as you know. Perhaps it is a combination of these two new prescriptions that may be effecting your appetite! I'm glad to hear that you have a good therapist on your team that you can discuss this with! *hugs*!
@PhoenixArisen about six weeks ago, my therapist says I should wait about that long to know the end result of the medication, so I think I'll contact her as soon as possible
@Madaraismyspiritanimal
That sounds like a great idea! I'm glad your therapist is helpful and I'm glad you found 7 cups too! I think it's wonderful that you are asking questions, good ones might I add, and you are really plugged in, noticing symptoms and are being a vital component to your health care! Again, big *hugs*!![]()

@PhoenixArisen thank you, my therapists often tell me I'm very observant and have a really good understanding of my situation. I most of the time respond by saying that being as aware as I am only makes it more frustrating that im not able to bend my situation into something positive. But that is my pessimistic side talking haha
