Struggling again

A couple weeks ago I had to buy a scale to figure out how much my dog weighs, but now I have a scale again and Im starting to slowly obsess more and more about how much I weigh. Mainly because when I look online and calculate my BMI score Im considered overweight. I am not fat, I look good, but for some reason that number is slowly taking over again.
I broke up with my boyfriend in January, we lived together and he always made me food. Now Im on my own and I still struggle to figure out how to eat healthy, but also to take care of my body and cravings. Now Im all hung up again on the number of the scale, but at the same time, I need to get my period and just craving burritos and icecream. I just want to feel happy with my body and feel guilt free during these weeks when I do have cravings and might eat less healthy.

Put your scale in the garage. Tell yourself you can eat certain amounts of unhealthy foods. Restricting your diet too much may cause an eating disorder.

Thank you for being so honest—what you're going through makes a lot of sense, especially after such a big life change like your breakup. Feeling conflicted about cravings or the number on the scale doesn’t make you weak—it just means you care and are trying to find balance. Your body is allowed to crave comfort and nourishment, especially during stressful or hormonal times, and that doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong.
