@FrozenYoghurt, for me it made me realize how much the criticism of those surrounding you, can get to you. It made me realize the importance of having a positive environment.

I realized how unique and strong I am. I've been able to overcome it and beat my eating disorders but it also has showed me how weak i can be at times. It's definetly given me a new perspective of myself that's for sure.

@xbritx wow! That is really enlighting! We are in control of our bodies. However, I had never really thought of it like that. Thanks for pointing that out!

Having an eating disorder has made me take a look at what I am missing in my life. My need for control has nothing to do with food- and learning that has really helped me to get better!

Having an ED made me realize about myself that I need to surround myself in a positive environment. And having control over something isn't the answer all the time

It has made me realise my worth as a human being by the actions I make daily. It also has made me realise I can be a pretty strong and smart women, who can achieve goals and overcome hard times by loving myself (including my imperfections).

@MariaEmilia it's SO hard to learn to love our imperfections. I'm HAPPY that you are able to do this. Way to go!

It has made me realize that I can believe in myself without the opinion of other people about myself.

Having an ED has made me realise I can be weak and I can be strong, I can be in control and I can be out of control, I can be brave and I can be scared... in fact, it's made me realise I am more human than I first thought.
