how to get an appetite?
i've recovered almost completely mentally when it comes to my eating disorder, but my body hasn't. when i wake up i'm hungry but whenever i try to eat i feel like i'm gonna puke. it gets better throughtout the day, but not by much. i can't finish normal portions anymore, and i feel sick to my stomach when i eat the same food for too long. i'm hungry, but i have no appetite. how can i fix this please??

A second answer to your questions. Try little bite portions. Like make 1 chop salad and split it into 3 bites over 3 days; 1 chicken breast split into 3 for the same. Pick up healthy snacks like almonds, and munch on them, just a few at a time so that the portion does not make you sick. Tiny steps and tiny portions until you can add a bite of salad, a snack and a bite of meat as a whole meal. And remember a meal can be eaten in 1-2 hours, not all at once.

It can feel so frustrating when your body is not responding to your mindset. Sharing an experience like that is not an easy thing to do, so thanks for coming here for support. Like mentioned in the post above, trying small bites can help. Mentalising and visualising yourself eating and being okay afterwards can also help. Slow and steady is the way to go, so don't feel bad trying to eat a lot all at once! You are doing great! We are all rooting for you!
@augustlololol I have the same problem, except I havent recovered. And I also have Depression and Anxiety. I've lost over 10 pounds in the last month and now Im underweight. I want to start eating again, but whenever Im hungry, and i get up to eat, Im just not hungry anymore.

Thank you for sharing. I was struggling with the same thing during the start. But maybe you consider distracting yourself while eating? Such as watching tv or youtube while you're eating, could help you to not think about food. You also mentioned that you can't eat for too long, perhaps you could try eating quickly? I'm too much sure about that though. Moreover, you could also try eating high-calorie low volume foods, so you don't have to keep eating them for long! I hope that helped!
