A poem for fellow stragglers

Eat eat, that's all you do

You a pig in disguise you know that too

You have no control over what you eat

Watch your figure, or it will be too late

Dont say i didn't warn you

When calories only consume you

Scale numbers going up or down

You feel like crawling in a ball and crying on the ground

Eat.

Feel guilt and repeat

You look at food like it's your whole life

Consume or be consumed

Death will be the corruption

For a person like you, there is other option

Count and count again

I'll try tomorrow you always say

That burning feeling inside isn't to no purpose

It's a rush of adrenaline when you l

Empty is all you know

So take it from me

You will die slow

So fragile and weak

You will sink so deep into this whole you've

created

You won't even be able to climb out

Only at the end will you realize

That not even food could save you in such a demise.

@discreetPomegranate1970

This is such a beautiful poem, and I really admire how you didn’t romanticize or soften the harsh reality of this painful thought process that so many of us can relate to. Thank you so much for sharing this. I really love how you captured the voice of ED so honestly, and in such a raw way.

I really hope you are doing alright, I am sending you love!! 💗💖
